That sounds really bizarre. I could only guess that the float is stuck, but usually in that case, fuel will just spill out of the overflow in the bottom of the carb. I really don’t know.
hey i have a 125 pit bike it says lifan, el cheapo lol but i have gaS LEAKING OUT OF WERE MY airfilter is to, > what am i doin wrong
Check the needle valve in the top of the float bowl. It is probably stuck in the down position allowing the fuel to pour in until it goes out the overflow. The part number is: 4MX-14392-00-00 if you need to replace it and it should cost about $25 US. Before you check that, check to make sure that the drain screw at the bottom of the bowl is tight.
Good luck.
I have a problem with my 2009 yz 250f . When I turn the switch to on the gas just pours out of the carberator. what can i do to fix it.
Thanks for the comment. I sent you an email response.

hello, i have several bikes to get rid of. i have a 1986 husqvarna cr250. its has been completely rebuilt, but has some fuel delivery issues. its hard to start sometimes. but when it runs its a screamer. too fast for me or my riding style. also have a yamaha pw80 copy. its a united motors bike. motor is trashed and the rear wheel hub is screwed up. previous owner stuck it in red clay and kept diggin thee throttle. also was wondering if you might be able to help me locate a crank and rod for a 1986 suzuki rm80. my girlfriend seized it pretty bad. thanks, Dwayne
Zach,
Thanks for the inquiry, calling you now.

Hey, I have a 05 RMZ-450 that I would like to sell, just wondering if you would be interested. It has race tech suspension, yosh exhaust, high performance air filter, holeshot device, skid plate, and some other extras. I really hate to sell it, but I have got into 4-wheeler racing and cannot afford to keep up both bikes. There is one problem with the bike, one of the forks leak oil but I do have a new all balls racing seal to go in it, just dont have the time to mess with it. I also have a brand new rear tire that has never been mounted, and I also have all stock parts that I took off the bike. This bike runs excellent, and is a beast of a bike that is very fun to ride. If you are interested email me or call me at 828-390-7187, I live in Morganton, NC.
Thanks,
Zach
Thanks for your question James, I replied in email.
Greg,
Its tough to diagnose from what you have told me, but a few things to check would be your needle height in the carb. I know you said you installed a new plug, but until you get your jetting right, you will continue to foul plugs. I have a 98 motor in my 03 cr 250 frame and I don’t have my jetting numbers written down, but it is dialed in correctly and I get no bogging and absolutely no black goo coming out the silencer. I could pull the carb and jot down the jet sizes so you could go from there. A few other possibilities you may want to check:
A clogged jet somewhere in the carb
Throttle position sensor is not working properly
Float valve is worn or your float height is off.
Also, something that you have probably checked, but is the gas fresh?
Good luck, I hope you get it fixed. Let me know how it works out and if you are local, give me a call and I would be happy to take a look at it.

i got a 98 cr250 new spark plug new air filter reeds are good main jet is good new floats new needle dent in pipe but not bad and i have ran it with out the spark arrester so thats not it. all full throttle operation damn near kills the motor or puts it to idle. you can roll into powerband in first but it chokes when you give it any real throttle. any thoughts?
Hello, I recently purchased a 2002 honda XR100 for my son to learn on. It is kinda rough and we are trying to fix it up. It tend to bog out at full throttle and doesn’t really idle good. I was wanting to see if you could tell me about how much it would be to get the Carb rebuilt and if it would be cheaper to just bring you the carb or the whole bike. Thanks, James
